The City of Espoo has closed three of its six Service Points for the period of 30 November 2020 to 16 May 2021*. The Service Points in Espoonlahti, Leppävaara and Tapiola are closed. The reason for this is that the capital region has introduced restrictions intended to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The Service Points in Espoon keskus, Kalajärvi and Matinkylä will remain open for the time being.

The Service Points that remain open will primarily serve customers in essential official matters. Brief digital support is also available for people who need help in taking care of essential official matters. At the Service Points, digital support is only offered to customers who wear a mask or a face shield.

Digital support is also available remotely via telephone, chat and video chat.

“We recommend that customers postpone their non-urgent errands or contact the Service Points by phone, chat or video chat. For example, through video chat, our staff can easily show you how to fill in a form or add an attachment to an application,” says Customer Service Manager Anna-Maija Aalto.

The general customer service number and the chat window are available at We have also created an instruction video on how to use the video chat.

The website is the go-to place for all information about services in Espoo. We recommend that you check available remote services from the website before visiting a Service Point.

Only visit a Service Point if you are healthy and have to take care of essential matters

We recommend that you only visit a Service Point if you have to take care of essential matters. You may not visit the Service Point if you have even the slightest symptoms of a common cold or any stomach symptoms. Even if you are healthy, we recommend that you run your errand as quickly as possible. Always wear a mask or a face shield.

“If you visit a Service Point, keep a safe distance of a couple of metres from other people, wash your hands or use hand sanitiser, cough into your sleeve, and wear a mask unless you are unable to do so for health reasons,” Aalto appeals to all customers.

All Service Points will be reopened on 17 May 2021* if the coronavirus situation so permits.
